Nut: Actress Daryl Hannah of movies “Splash” and “Kill Bill” upon being arrested at protest against Keystone XL Tar Sands Pipeline Extension: “We want to be free from the horrible death and destruction that fossil fuels cause, and have a clean energy future.”

Nugget: New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) when asked about his plans for reelection:
“I don't worry about reelection. I feel like I'm playing with house money anyway. Nobody expected me to win this race. The more I start thinking about reelection and trying to calculate either my actions or my decisions based upon that, I'm probably moving closer and closer to not getting reelected. Be myself, be who I am, let the chips fall where they may.”

Both a Nut and a Nugget: CNN’s Jack Cafferty asserted that “intellectual lightweights” Rep. Michele Bachmann and Gov. Rick Perry were “sucking up most of the media’s attention, mostly for saying stupid stuff.”

“If Palin runs, we’ll have yet another Mensa candidate to join Bachmann and Perry,” Cafferty worried.
